The center core banger, also known as a core reactor or quartz core banger, features a solid quartz 4mm high 10mm diameter cylinder incorporated at the bottom of the bucket. The "quartz core" serves 2 main purposes. Heat retention and increased surface area.
We found that the quartz cylinder increases the heat retention and surface area of the banger when compared to a regular quartz bucket banger. The center core's enhanced heat retention and surface area makes it possible for dabs to vaporize completely with less waste.
When it comes to vaporizing your dabs as discussed many times, there is something called the bangers vaporization rate. The vaporization rate is determined by the surface area and temperature of the banger. This is what determines the proper size dab the banger can efficiently handle, which is called the saturation rate.
The center core acts on both the temperature and surface area, contrary to inserts which typically do not maintain heat and are solely intended to slosh around the dab evenly the center core component does maintain heat while increasing the bangers dabable surface area.
Heat retention is important when using a dab torch. The moment the torch is moved away from the banger, the banger's temperature begins to drop. With a center core banger, the initial temperature drop is mitigated by the thick quartz cylinder, allowing for the temperature to maintain and for the dab to be vaporized efficiently. We specifically use a thick quartz cylinder as it maintains the heat the best.
When combining this banger with a spinner carb cap and 2 terp pearls you can get the most out of this banger, as opposed to a directional or non-airflow carb cap.
