Dab Rig to Banger Sizing Chart

I have a dab rig and I'm not sure which Quartz Banger or Dab Nail I should be pairing it with.

Use the chart below to find out, simply find the line which has your pipe and go across to find the appropriate sized Banger for your Bong or Dab Rig.We always recommend utilizing a reclaim catcher with your dab rig setup. 

When looking at this chart you will need to understand 3 measurements of your pipe’s joint.

  1. Pipe Joint Size

  2. Pipe Joint Gender

  3. Pipe Joint Angle

To understand what size connection you have, whether a 10mm, 14mm or 18mm, utilize the image below. You will want to match the mm size of the dab rig to the mm size of the desired banger or dab nail. If you have an 18mm pipe connection, you will want an 18mm banger joint size.

Next understand what gender connection you have is the pipe female, meaning the banger will insert into the pipe connection. Or is it a male pipe, where the banger or dab nail will seal covering the pipe connection on the outside of the pipe connection. You will want to look for the opposing gender when finding the proper match for your quartz banger or dab nail. If your dab rig is a female then you will want a male banger, if your dab rig is a male you will want a female banger or dab nail. Refer to the image below.

Then you will want to understand if the connection is 90 degree, straight up, or is it 45 degree, on an angle. If the pipe is a 45 degree connection you will want a 45 degree angle banger. If the pipe is a 90 degree angle you will want a 90 degree banger. Dab nails should only be used with 90 degree pipe joints for effective use, otherwise the dab will pool to one side and even possibly slide off the dab nail.

So if you have a 14mm Female 90 Degree pipe joint, you will want to use the 14mm Male 90 Degree Quartz banger.
