Banger thickness is crucial, with two key measurements to consider: wall thickness and bottom thickness. Thicker walls and bottoms improve heat retention and durability. While thicker bangers take longer to heat, they retain heat longer, making them ideal for those who prefer to maintain consistent temperatures when using larger amounts of concentrates.
Banger Accessories
When selecting a banger, it’s essential to consider the accessories that will complement it, such as carb caps, terp pearls, and marbles.
- Bucket Inserts: These vary in shape and size, offering great options for cold starts or enhanced heat retention.
- Terp Pearls: Also known as banger beads or terp balls, these small quartz balls (typically 1 or 2) are placed inside the banger. When paired with a directional airflow carb cap, such as a vortex carb cap, they spin during inhalation. This spinning action evenly distributes the concentrate across the banger’s surface, preventing hot spots and ensuring a consistent, even vaporization, even at lower temperatures.
