Simple & Safe Extraction Process
The innovative design makes the extraction process straightforward:
- Prepare Ingredients: Add up to 50 grams of dried herbs to the cylinder.
- Add Solvent: Cover the herbs with just enough solvent, typically ethanol. The kit includes 1 pint (500 ml) of reagent-grade ethanol for your convenience.
- Pressurize: Use one CO2 cartridge to pressurize the cylinder, rapidly extracting essential oils.
- Release & Filter: Follow the instructions to release pressure, replace the cream whipper head with the French press filter, and pour.
- Evaporate: Use a double boiler or air-dry technique to evaporate the alcohol while keeping temperatures below 300°F (149°C).
Infusion Capacity
- Herb Capacity: Up to 50 grams of dried herbs.
- Solvent Usage: Approximately 250 ml (half a pint) of ethanol per extraction.
- CO2 Requirements: Includes 10 CO2 8-gram cartridges, sufficient for multiple uses.
Important Safety Notes
- The included ethanol is denatured with methanol (poisonous) and is NOT for consumption.
- For applications like tinctures, where the alcohol is not fully evaporated, do not use the included ethanol solvent.
- Always follow the instructions carefully to ensure safe and proper use.
