How to clean a dab tool?
There are a few different ways to clean a dab tool.
- Allowing the dab tool to sit inside a banger or on a heating element (within a dab rig or electric nectar collector tip). This will melt any remaining wax while allowing for consumption instead of wasting it.
- Heating the dab tool with a lighter or torch, (using our silicone fingertips during this process is recommended to prevent any burns). Once heated to a sufficient temperature, wipe the tool clean with a paper towel. Be sure to fold the paper towel several times, as the dab tool will be heated and this will avoid getting burned.
- As with all stuck on wax, an isopropyl alcohol cleaning solution, such as the Iso-Shine from Dr Buzzkill, can clean the dab tool. Adding salt to the isopropyl alcohol will add abrasiveness and help remove stuck on gunk. Soak the tool or soak a paper towel, then wipe.
- With an Electric Dab Tool, cleaning is usually never an issue, simply heat up the tool to a higher temperature, or run the electric dab tool on consecutive heating cycles then wipe with a thick paper towel or terp wipes.
As always, cleaner devices will produce a more efficient and enjoyable dab. We recommend taking a look at some of our cleaning kits which include Isopropyl alcohol, cleaning swabs, silicone fingertips, iso-jars, cleaning plugs, cleaning caps and so much more to keep your device as clean as a whistle.
