Why We Recommend a 90° Banger

A 45° banger can work with a reclaim catcher, but the banger angle changes the direction that reclaim travels through the catcher.

With a 45° banger, reclaim can run along the side walls rather than dropping directly into the silicone jar. A 90° banger keeps the reclaim path more vertical, helping the catcher collect reclaim where it is supposed to.

How Reclaim Catcher Angles Work

90° RIG
A 90° rig should use a 90° reclaim catcher with the preferred 90° banger.
90° Rig → 90° Catcher → 90° Banger
45° RIG
A 45° rig uses a 45° reclaim catcher, which compensates for the rig angle so a 90° banger can be used.
