Our nectar collector kits and dab straws offer a quick, easy dabbing experience anywhere you go. Just heat the tip, touch your wax, and inhale — no bulky setup needed. Shop top-rated quartz and silicone designs perfect for beginners and pros. A nectar collector dab is the most efficient dab in he game, this is because when dabbing with a nectar collector you are able to determine the dab size throughout the dab.
As opposed to dabbing with a banger where you need to predetermine the dab size and whatever isn't inhaled is lost to the dabbing gods, with a nectar collector simply move the nail away from the dab and it will stop consuming the dab.
There are several reasons you may want to cut a dab short, whether its because you dont have the lung capacity to inhale anymore, your throat begins to itch and you are about to cough, you had enough and dont need anymore or even because someone has come into the room who shouldnt be there when you are taking a dab.
The ability to stop the dab short without wasting more concentrates is not possible with all of styles of dabbing where as when using a nectar collector for dabs you do have that ultimate control. We carry several different styles of nectar collector kits whether a typical dab straw without an water filtration or a nectar collector with water filtration and even a nectar collector with a reclaim catcher to capture any excess reclaim which can be caused by inhaling to quickly or not heating the dab nail enough. Our dab nectar collector options will making you a professional nectar collector dabber in no time!
Nectar Collector FAQ
Nectar collector nails generally come in two sizes, 10mm and 14mm. Think of the two nail sizes as a liquor straw versus a normal straw. With a 10mm, the airflow will be more constricted with the 14mm nectar collector dab nail the airflow will be easier. This is good to note based on your lung capacity, if you have a smaller lung capacity you may want to consider the 10mm.
The next difference between the two sizes is its vaporizable area. With the larger 14mm nail size more dabs can be vaporized then with the smaller 10mm nail. Next would be the vapor to air mixture, with the 10mm nector collector nail it is easier to have a more intense vapor mixture, although if handled properly that same vapor to air ratio can be achieved with a 14mm dab nail.
The difference between a dab straw and nectar collector is simple, a dab straw does not have water filtration and it's a simple straw that will be heated on one side and inhaled from the other side. Nectar collectors have some sort of filtration or cooling system, whether glycerin coil or water filtration.
1. Prep: Remove the nail.
2. Fill Upside Down: Hold the bubbler upside down and slowly pour clean water into the mouthpiece.
3. Drain Excess: Let excess water drip out until it stops, ensuring the perfect, non-splashing water level for percolation.
4. Flip: Carefully turn the collector right-side up.
5. Attach: Secure the correct size nail (10mm or 14mm) to the joint.
6. Secure: Use a Keck clip to fasten the nail in place (especially important for enail nectar collectors).
1. Prep Dabs: Any non-burning/melting surface (dab tool, silicone jar, etc.) works for your concentrate.
2. Heat Nail: Heat the bottom third of the nail evenly for up to 60 seconds. To prevent glass cracking (especially with titanium), avoid heating too close to the joint. Cool for 15-30 seconds or use a temperature reader for precision.
3. Dab Technique: Dabbing is about balancing the nail's vaporization rate with the dab's saturation rate. Find the equilibrium for the smoothest, tastiest hit.
4. Inhale & Drag: While inhaling, lightly dip the nail tip into the edge of the dab (like dipping a toe into a puddle) and drag the nail away. Keep the nail at an angle to ensure airflow.
5. Maximize Vaporization: The nail cools upon contact. To maintain a high vaporization rate, continually change the portion of the nail touching the dab. For example, drag down on the first hit, then drag up on the next, spreading the heat. Using an enail or electric collector ensures consistent heating, minimizing waste.
Cool Down: NEVER clean a hot nail; wait for it to cool completely to avoid burns.
Clean Nail: Soak the dab nail in isopropyl alcohol or cleaning solution (like in a Dunk Tank) for an hour, then use dab swabs to finish cleaning.
Clean Bubbler:
Overnight Soak: Dump the bubbler into a cleaning solution/isopropyl alcohol-filled Dunk Tank, soak overnight, and rinse with hot water.
Quick Clean: Fill the glass with a pipe cleaner solution (e.g., Dr Buzzkill’s), seal both ends (with plugs, caps, or fingers), and carefully shake to remove reclaim. Rinse well
Most Freezable nectar collectors do not offer water filtration. The freezable glycerin effectively cools the dab's vapor, eliminating the need for water. The design is optimized for maximum cooling through the vapor path, and integrating water filtration would generally not be possible.
No, frozen nectar collectors come in different sizes, which offer varying levels of cooling and time spans for the glycerin to stay frozen or chilled. Smaller collectors have less glycerin and a shorter coil vapor path, while larger ones have more glycerin and a longer vapor path for greater cooling.
The best material often depends on what you value most in your dabbing experience (taste, efficiency, heat retention, etc.). Common materials for nectar collector dab nails (which often use the same materials as standard dab nails and bangers) include:
Quartz:
Advantages: Great taste, high inertness (clean vapor), and quick heat-up time.
Disadvantages: Decent but not the best heat retention; average durability.
Ceramic:
Advantages: Excellent heat retention, consistent heat profile for longer sessions, and good durability.
Disadvantages: Slower heat-up time than quartz or titanium; can be more difficult to clean.
Titanium:
Advantages: Superior durability, extremely fast heat-up time, and excellent heat retention.
Disadvantages: Taste is often considered less pure or refined compared to quartz or ceramic.
Other high-end materials like SiC, Ruby, Sapphire, and Emerald are also available, often offering a balance of exceptional taste and high-performance heat characteristics.
