XL Terp Slurper Bangers

The XL Terp Slurper is a popular and innovative quartz banger style prized by dab enthusiasts for its superior efficiency and ability to preserve flavor even for large dabs. Characterized by its "XL" capacity for larger dabs, its design features an extended middle tube. When used with terp pearls or a terp pillar, this setup spreads the dabs evenly around teh heated surface area, guaranteeing that all concentrates are fully vaporized, even when dabbing at lower temperatures.

The main difference lies in the size. Where terp slurpers are typically maxing out at 3” in height, some XL terp slurpers can be as tall as 7” in height. Much like standard size and even large sized terp slurpers, multiple different styles exist, including terp slides, round belly, control tower, and even terp feeder. 

The XL Terp Slurper, with its much larger body allows for more surface area to be heated, this allows for larger dabs to be fully vaporized efficiently. The same great taste and cloud size is present regardless of what size terp slurper you choose. This design pulls the melted concentrate up the elongated barrel and onto the heated sides, maximizing surface area for vaporization and providing a more even, potent, and flavorful dab.

Using an XL Terp Slurper involves a specific technique:

Prep: Place your terp pearl(s) and/or terp pill inside the banger's lower chamber and marbles into and onto the banger.
Heat: Heat the bottom dish and the main lower chamber evenly with a torch. With XL Terp Slurpers the heating process is longer, 30 seconds on the dish, 30 seconds on the tube then 15 seconds on the dish again.
Cool Down: Wait for the banger to cool to your desired temperature (typically 30-60 seconds).
Dab: Place your concentrate onto the bottom dish. The vacuum action will automatically "slurp" whatever oil not vaporized on the dish into the heated barrel for complete vaporization.
Inhale: Inhale slowly and steadily while the dab vaporizes.

To get the full Terp Slurper experience, you'll need:

Marbles/ Caps/ Pillar/ Pearls: A Valve Marble (the top cap) a Middle Marble to help prevent the pearls or pillar from flying up into the top of the banger, a Pill or Terp Pearls for the bottom chamber. XL Terp slurpers can use larger pillars than standard sized terp slurpers.
Dab Tool: A quality tool for placing concentrate on the dish.
Torch & Butane: A reliable torch is essential for heating the XL surface area.
Slurper Swabs: Essential for immediate cleaning (see Question 6).

While sizes can vary slightly by brand, an XL Terp Slurper is generally defined by its large elongated bottom chamber taller than 3” compared to a standard size. Common joint sizes are 10mm, 14mm, 18mm and joint angles are typically 45-degree or 90-degree in Male or Female Genders. Always confirm the exact joint size, gender and angle needed for your water pipe.

Immediate post-dab cleaning is crucial for maintaining the flavor and lifespan of your Terp Slurper, This is especially the case with an XL Terp Slurper because some portions of the middle chamber will only have a slight amount of dabs, which can easily turn black  and being degrading the durability and flavor of the banger:

Slurper Swab: While the banger is still warm, use a dry cotton swab to wipe out all residual oil from the dish and the barrel. Dr Buzzkills XL Terp Slurper Mops are best to quickly clean every millimeter of the banger.
Isopropyl Alcohol: Dip a second swab in high-percentage (>90%) isopropyl alcohol and clean the interior again.
Dunk Tank (Optional): For a deeper clean, let the banger cool completely and then soak it in a glass jar of isopropyl alcohol and rock salt. Most Dunk Tanks are not large enough to clean the 6” and taller Xl Terp Slurpers. Dr Buzzkills Dunk Tank can handle up to 6” slurpers, for larger ones a large gallon-sized sealable bag is best. Never attempt to "torch clean" (chazz) a high-end quartz banger. This will just expedite the degradation of the banger flavor and durability.
