20mm Barrel Enail Coil & Banger Setup

The 20mm barrel enail coil is a sidewall-heating configuration designed for 20mm quartz bucket bangers. Unlike axial coils, a barrel coil wraps exclusively around the outer wall of the bucket. Heat transfers from the sidewalls down into the base through conduction, creating a slightly softer thermal ramp and a controlled, steady vaporization profile.

This setup is specifically designed for 20mm diameter quartz bangers with a coil groove and a welded support arm. The integrated arm extends from the bucket to the joint and acts as a structural stabilizer for the coil. Instead of using an O-clamp, the barrel coil is supported and held in position by this arm, which prevents rotation and vertical shifting during use.

Proper installation requires:

  • Seating the coil evenly within the groove

  • Ensuring full, uniform contact around the bucket

  • Aligning the coil so it rests naturally against the support arm

  • Avoiding gaps or overlapping wraps

Because the arm absorbs movement and stabilizes the heating element, it reduces stress on the neck weld and helps maintain consistent coil-to-banger contact. This design simplifies setup while still delivering reliable temperature stability.
