Ash catchers keep your dab rig clean and free from ash. It is best to keep one waterpipe for flower (a bong) and one waterpipe for concentrate (a dab rig). Mixing the two will negatively impact the taste of your pipe. If you are going to use a dab rig for flower, it is best to be used with an ash catcher.
