A Hot knife also know as an Electric Dab Tool or E-Dabbers, are electrically heated dab tools which allow for easier handling of any type of concentrates while minimizing waste. A Hot Knife, or Electric Dab Tool has a heated tip which is used to cut, handle and then drop conentrates into your quartz banger, e-rig atomizer or dab pen. Simply heat up the tool, cut the amount of concentrates you want, let the tool cool so the dab can stick to the tool, then while over your banger or atomizer, heat the tool allowing the dab to fall into your banger.
Electric Dab Tools make dabbing easier, cleaner and more efficient than the trditional dab tool. Especially when dealing with shatter or diamonds, a hot knife can prevent concentrates from flying across the room when being broken up.

There are several hot knife manufacturers but the design are for the most part similar. There is the blade tip and the scooper tip. Cheaper hot knife options have less power control and require the user to understand the power of the tool to prevent over-heating. Higher end electric dab tools have better ssnors to prevent over-heating and accidenatl vaporization or waste.
A Hot Knife will get Hot, hence the name. Do not touch the tip with your skin or anything you do not want to melt or burn.
The easiest way to clean an electric dab tool is by heating the dab tool then using terp wipes or isopropyl alcohol pads to clean any dirt.
