Cold-Start & Low-Temp Dab Banger: Full Weld Opaque Bottom Vortex Bucket Banger
The Vortex Banger is an excellent choice if you want to use dab inserts like terp pearls or spinners. Its strategically positioned slanted holes enable a spinning action inside the banger. Even without extra inserts, this banger style enhances airflow.
The airflow design of a vortex banger ensures your concentrates spread evenly across the heated surface, resulting in more uniformly heated dabs and less wastage.
This Vortex Dab Banger features a fully welded neck for enhanced durability. Additionally, its beveled top allows compatibility with Marble Caps or Bubble Carb Caps!
To top it off, the opaque bottom of the bucket makes it ideal for col-start dabs because it heats up quickly. Opaque bottom bangers are the most responsive banger style. Heat passes through the opaque quartz faster than any other banger.
When dealing with a cold-start dab, one of the biggest issues is overheating. With the fast heta transfer of a opaque bottom banger, the temperature of the bottom of the banger touching the torch will quickly be reflected by the temperature of the inside of the banger. This prevents overheating, which is common with standard bangers.
Standard bangers take longer for the inside of the banger to reach the same temperature as the outside of the banger which is coming in contact with the dab torch. This delay can cause overheating and cause the dabs to reach a temperature which is unpleasant, may burn the dabs and waste dabs.
This is also what makes opaque bottom bangers better for low-temp dabs, slight torching of the banger will cause the inside to reach the desired temperature quickly, and pulling away the torch will keep it at that temp or make it begin to drop. Whereas with a regular quartz bottom banger, the inside temperature of the banger can continue to climb for a few seconds as the heat transfers from the outside of the bottom of the banger ot the inside of the bottom of the banger, even though the torch has been moved away.
With a vortex banger there are two different styles of carb caps that can be used. Marble carb caps offer no airflow, while directional airflow carb caps do. The main difference is the vapor-to-air ratio between the two different styles of carb caps.
With a directional airflow carb cap, more airflow will enter the banger, making the dab more smooth and less intense. With most airflow carb caps, you can place your finger on top of the airflow entrance of the carb cap to alter the amount of air entering the carb cap, changing the vapor to air ratio.
With a marble carb cap, the heat intensity within the banger will be more intense; there will be less airflow entering the banger, making the vapor more intense. The only airflow comes from the two holes on the wall of the banger.
Either carb cap can be paired with terp spinner wheels or terp pearls for better dab distribution and concentrate vaporization.
